Sussex Bike Hire aims to provide a first class friendly service showing off our beautiful South Downs to locals and visiting tourists.

By offering both hire and tours with Electric bikes, childrens bike seats/trailers and road bikes we can ensure there is something for everyone.

We are located in the heart of Sussex with nearby beaches with easy, flat trails and cycle paths that run to Newhaven. We have tracks along the coast to the Seven Sisters cliffs, off road River Ouse runs leading into the country side and for the more extreme, fast we have Friston forest down hill tracks with twists and turns.

We understand the beauty and fun the South Downs has to offer and can’t wait to share it with those visiting us.

"Went the extra mile"

Paul was very helpful and quick to get back to me when i was making a last minute booking. We went out on our own and Paul went the extra mile in sending me a load of suggested routes including a great, signposted blast round the Forestry Commission woodland tracks. The bikes were great too, brand new, fully charged and brilliant to ride!

"The most spectacular scenery"

Paul was friendly, accommodating and clear in his communication. He provided recommendations as to where to ride in the local area - which includes some of the most spectacular scenery in England. The bikes themselves were well maintained and great fun to ride. Hiring a bike from Paul - unlike some other places - was not an impersonal experience. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend hiring electric mountain bikes from Maverick Boat Adventures to anyone else.

Nice to be able to go wherever, on any level of fitness, a good workout if you want or can just cruise, good on road and off, had lots of fun in the forest down the trails and easy to get back up 2 top. Definitely would hire again great staff very friendly.

Highly recommended day out. We had a lovely day Ebiking as a family. Process of booking, picking up and returning the bikes all easy. Friendly family run business - highly recommended. Excellent location, easy parking and a park next door to familiarise yourself with Ebikes if new to them. Would try again and consider a guided tour of the area.
